I’m sorry but before I order, I tell the waitress “separate checks.” and smile. Why should I pay for other people’s meals?

I’m “Officially Below Poverty” but I do My BEST and if I could “walk down Lincoln Road, and hit the beach whenever I want.” I would. Either does not define me.

I agree. I hadn’t thought of it exactly in those words. But you are right, “Poor is a state of mind” And I’m rich! I live in South Beach, go to the best restaurants (courtesy of generous friends), walk down Lincoln Road, and hit the beach whenever I want. It’s a permavacation here! That’s rich!

I’ve many times felt shy about doing birthday dinners & group dinners where there is the potential to end up with a hefty bill. I’ve always avoided those. I refuse to finance my meals through my credit card. Totally unecessary. I do like inviting friends over for dinner.

I don’t like to say that I can’t afford it. It’s just I simply choose to not spend my money that way. :)

Museums are so expensive though! Well, some are. I like picking up the check, too. And my friends don’t have money so they love that I do that. It is a really good feeling, no doubt
