Alex really surprises me when he first entered he seemed self absorbed and like he’d be totally attention seeking. Now I see he’s far from self absorbed and actually listens to people. He even looks hot when he’s thinking.

I agree. Stephen also sees him as someone who will listen to the drivel. That’s exactly what so-called ‘people of God’ look for and latch onto and as soon as they’re hooked they attempt to reel them in. The look in Stephen’s eyes, man, he’s giddy with excitement!
